PC Andy Bingham has been conducting speed checks on Halifax Road in Northowram as part of the local priority to deal with “Roads Policing” issues in the area.

The majority of motorists were driving between 25-28mph at this point in the road between 8.30am and 10am.

Over that period of time, nine motorists were travelling in excess of 35mph and the highest recorded speed was 46mph.

Those travelling in excess of the limit will be either required to attend a speed awareness course or will receive a £100 fine and three points on their driving license, depending on their previous driving record.

The Valley Neighbourhood Team, in conjunction with all our partners, are keeping your roads safe.
