A series of protests are taking place across the country tomorrow (Saturday) to mark “one year too many of the Bedroom Tax and benefit cuts”.

Demonstrations will take place in at 12 noon in Victoria Gardens, Leeds, and at 1pm in Huddersfield Market Cross, Huddersfield.

Eileen Short, from the Anti Bedroom Tax Federation, said: “The vicious Bedroom Tax causes fear, hunger and debt. It is discredited and unworkable and must end in 2014.

“Stepping up the public protest, anti eviction action and pressure on politicians is the way to End the Bed Tax in 2014. Tenants in Scotland proved we can - join us on Saturday to demand it ends now.”
