Walkers are dusting off their boots ready for the annual South Pennine Walk and Ride Festival in September - and Brighouse Boundary Walk will be part of it.
Brighouse Civic Trust’s footpaths officer Peter Davies, who originally researched and devised the walk around the old Brighouse borough boundary, will be leader.
The walk is in two parts - the first on Saturday, September 14 of 12 miles, lasting approximately 12 miles; and the second on Sunday, September 15, of 14 miles, lasting roughly seven hours.
Mike Stead of Brighouse Civic Trust said: “Walkers will have the unique opportunity to enjoy the scenery, history and heritage around the former Brighouse borough boundary.”
Walkers should meet at the Car park at Thornhill Beck, next to Wellholme Park, at 10.30am for each walk.
