Members of the five trade unions in Calderdale rallied outside Northgate House, Halifax, as workers strike over pay and spending cuts.
The unions Unison, FBU, PCS, GMB, NUT and Unite have all taken part in industrial action across the country.
Public services, schools and fire services have been affected by the walk out.
Unison and GMB members gathered in Halifax as speeches were made by Gary Baker, from GMB, Gary Cleaver, from Unison and Edward Ashman, Calderdale Unison Branch Secretary.
Labour councillors also attended the rally in Halifax as leader of the council Tim Swift spoke to the workers.
