Spirits were high this morning for both students and staff at Rastrick High School for what was described by head teacher Mr Evans as the “best ever A-level and vocational results day yet”.
Several students achieved an astonishing three A*’s which has never been achieved in the past.
When asked what the students’ success came down to apart from self motivation and a hard work ethic, Mr Evans said that “targets have been more challenging and systems have been put in place to track and support the students”.
Mr Evans proudly stated that the “fantastic results are a reflection of all the students’ hard work, the determination, dedication and support of the staff and the support of students’ families”.
Annabel Collier and Dennis Rimmer are both excited to start studying at Durham University after achieving three A*’s.
Annabel is set to study Sociology whilst Dennis has his heart set on Physics.
