Top accolade for Annaliese

A BRIGHOUSE businesswoman has walked away a winner from a prestigious award ceremony.

Annaliese Morgan attended the OvertheCounter awards at the House of Lords terrace and came away with runner up for Vet Nurse of the Year. However a special award was created just for Annaliese for innovation.

Annaliese, who owns Fuchsia in Bradford Road, was presented with her award by Paralympic double gold medallist Natasha Baker. The event was all about awarding and celebrating excellence from animal health professionals, manufactures, country stores and retail outlets across the UK, including delivering best practice advice and exceptional customer service.

The mother of two, a qualified vet nurse, started the business in July 2008 and is now a well-established professional pet health spa, keeping pets happy, healthy and beautiful is her top priority.

She is also an established author and has seen her work published both in the UK and Australia. Her publications include a range of articles as well as four well known veterinary nursing text books and her most recent aimed at pet owners.

“I was absolutely blown away and amazed when I was told a special award had been created for me,” said Annaliese, who has had to learn how to walk again following a motorbike accident. “I have certainly had some ups and downs during my life but I am passionate about what I do and feeling and seeing someone else that can see that in me makes me very happy.”
