In celebration of Yorkshire Day, a group of women have banded together to hold a fundraising Madhatter’s Tea Party for the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.
The party will be held on Friday, August 1, on Yorkshire Day, with tea and cakes.
Margaret Firth, 82, of Lightcliffe, decided to organise the event to coincide with other things the group is doing for charities, in and out of the area.
“We have been knitting blankets for the hospice and for homeless people,” she said.
The group has knitted tea cosies for the day that are in the shape of the Mad Hatter to stick with the theme.
