Students get insight into book
Author Joseph Delaney signs copies of his new book Spooks - Slither's Tale, at Rastrick High School.
AUTHOR Joseph Delaney dropped into Rastrick High School to speak to students about his life.
Year seven pupils were also treated to extracts from ‘The Spooks Apprentice’ and ‘The Spooks Stories: Witches’, a piece chosen specially, as this year sees the 400th anniversary of the Pendle witch trials.
The author explained how during the writing process he “discovers his new books bit by bit” rather than planning every detail and that he enjoys writing dialogue.
The Wardstone Chronicles series has inspired the forthcoming movie The Seventh Son, starring Jeff Bridges, Ben Barnes and Julianne Moore, and students were privileged to be shown photos from the film set in Vancouver.
