Simple Sid on safety mission

SAFETY conscious youngsters have been keeping an eye on the speed of traffic outside their school in Brighouse.

Pupils of class four at St Andrew's Infant School in Lightcliffe Road recorded how many vehicles were being driven in excess of 30mph with Simple Sid – a speed indication device from Calderdale Council which records how fast vehicles are travelling towards it.

During a geography project called 'Safe in our area' the pupils looked at aspects that kept them safe and identified things that were unsafe.
