Police hunt men after violent mugging bid
DETECTIVES are hunting two men who chased a man to a supermarket car park in a violent mugging bid.
The 48-year-old victim was on Mill Lane in Brighouse at around 7.25pm on Wednesday when two men approached him and demanded he hand over belongings.
He was hit in the face several times before he ran off towards Sainsburys car park.
The men caught up with him and he had fallen to his knees when a car drove past and disturbed the two men.
They are described as between 6ft 3ins and 6ft 4 ins tall, one heavily built and of mixed race and the other thin and possible white.
Anyone with information about the attempted mugging or who saw the men in Sainsburys car park or the surrounding area are being asked to call Deetective Constable Eileen Walsh in Calderdale CID on 01422 337085.
