Plans for the next stage of development at one of Brighouse’s success stories have been submitted to Calderdale Council.

Rokt Climbing Gym is looking expand its adventure centre at the former Sugden’s Flour Mill on Mill Royd Street. They have applied to change the use of part of the derelict building to form an extension to the existing facility.

Agents Cadvis3d said: “Each floor will be stripped and converted into various training rooms, all of which will compliment the existing business and further expand its facilities.

“The proposals are minimal and will only improve the look of the existing building, which is currently in a dilapidated state. It will also provide more jobs and help the gym expand its current facilities.”

The plans include a family bouldering/training room, indoor BMX ramps, a cave system, a training room and rope climbing to be spread out across five floors.
