A former 15th century coach house in Lightcliffe will be up for sale at auction next month.
Smith House is among the lots at the auction, which will take place at Leeds United’s Elland Road ground on May 9, for a guide price of £190,000.
Phil Elliot, William H Brown auctions manager, said the 2,000 sq ft property is steeped in history and is great value for developers and restoration enthusiasts alike looking for a long term project.
“Smith House is a wonderful space,” he said.
“This is a property developer’s dream. There’s so much scope to transform this currently unused workshop into a beautiful home that a family could really enjoy living in.”
Formally used as storage for a vintage car company, the historic building has planning permission with proposed plans for a four-bedroom property already in place.
“With planning permission in place to turn this building into a four-bedroom property, I believe there will be plenty of interest,” Phil said.
“Housing stock is drying up around the country and, with the right due care and attention, this former coach house provides a great platform for buyers entering the auction room to make a great investment in what could be a brilliant family home.”
