A night of classic heavy rock from the band Screamin’ Eagles will set the Barge in Brighouse on fire tomorrow, Friday. The band is fronted by Paul ‘Fasker’ Johnson who toured the world with Saxon in the 1980s and has worked with John Parr and Paul Carrack.
The line-up also includes Bill Ward on guitar and Fasker’s son Callum. The set will feature hits from Saxon, Thin Lizzy, Van Halen and Def Leppard.
Organiser Stuart Lockwood said: “It’s a fairly rare occasion that we get to play small local venues so we’re looking forward to presenting a treat for fans of classic British heavy rock.”
Tonight music at the Barge will come from Mich Brown and his band and on Saturday the eight-piece soul and Motown outfit the BB Kings will take to the stage.
Maxine Maragh at the Rock at Upper Edge will have live music and a barbecue this Sunday from 4pm to celebrate their anniversary.
All are welcome.
