Youngsters got a taste of China as they celebrated the Year of the Horse at Waters Edge Day Nursery.
At the nursery on Elland Road children were treated to a Chinese banquet with noodles and prawn crackers while the little otters group for three to four-year-olds visited the Chinese Buffett restaurant in Halifax.
Nursery manager Carl Heavyside said: “All the children really enjoyed themselves at the restaurant and were treated really well.
“In house the children dressed in traditional Chinese outfits and they all had a good time.”
Youngsters then got creative by designing lanters and helped design their own paper mache dragons and were taught about the Year of the Horse.
They also celebrated the New Year by playing musical instruments.
