Four awards need sponsors
BUSINESSES still have the chance to sponsor one of the categories in this year’s Brighouse Echo Business Awards.
Sponsorship is still needed for one of four categories, Building Industry Award, Retailer of the Year, Small to Medium Sized Business and Larger Business of the Year.
Building Industry Award is a new award open to any business with connections to the building industry in Brighouse. This could be suppliers, builders plumbing and electrical and architects. The award could be presented to a major development or an individual building professional.
Retailer of the Year will be decided by readers’ votes. Brighouse is noted for its individual businesses and offers a shopping experience far different from many cloned high streets. Brighouse is working flat out to buck the trend and the last year has seen businesses moving into town and existing ones expand by upgrading to larger premises within the town centre. This award presents a unique opportunity for readers to say thank you for the valuable service they receive from the businesses who have given a firm vote of confidence in their town.
Small to Medium Sized Business has a turnover with less than £5million and fewer than 50 employees. It will demonstrate a significant growth in its sector. It will demonstrate innovation and a mapped out plan for future developments, has maintained sound financial performance and has a community social responsible policy in place.
Larger Business of the Year has a turnover of more than £50 million and more than 50 employees. It can demonstrate significant growth in its sector and innovation. It has a mapped out plan for future developments, has maintained a sound financial performance and has a community social responsible policy in place.
Anyone interested in sponsoring the awards should contact Caroline Presgrave on 07803506484.
The awards ceremony will be held on March 7 at The Holiday Inn, Clifton. It will be hosted by Clare Frisby, from BBC Look North breakfast news.
