Firefighters were called out to fight a shop fire yesterday evening.
The blaze at a clothes shop on Church Lane, Brighouse, was reported at around 6.30pm by an alert passer-by who noticed smoke coming out of the building.
Fire crews discovered a small fire in the back room of the shop which had suffered smoke damage.
They had the incident under control in half an hour but remained at scene until 9.30pm clearing smoke and salvaging some of the stock.
