The Brighouse Gala committee is planning another day of fun in the sun to help boost charity coffers.
Thousands of visitors are expected to flock to Wellholme Park on Saturday, June 28, for the 2014 Brighouse Charity Gala.
Gala Queen Paige Roderick and attendant Isobel Haw will take pride of place in the parade as it makes its way through the town to the park, where a whole host of family activities, entertainment and refreshments will be available.
Ground chairman Peter Edwards said preparations are going well and excitement is building ahead of the big day.
“I think there will be something for everyone in the park,” he said.
“All the profits go back to the charities that take part.”
Among the highlights this year will be a routine by the Tigers motorcycle display team, a group of young motorcyclists who will jump over cars in the specially enforced arena.
Music will be provided by Roger Davies, The Time Travellers, Alex Stole The Milk, and a group of musicians from Rastrick High School.
There will be the dog show, duck race, an art display, model train rides, go-karts, a fairground and much, much more.
The procession sets off from Garden Road at noon. Gates also open at the park at the same time.
Tickets are available from the gala caravan on Wilkinson’s car park in the week before the event, priced £1.50. Prices rise to £2 on the day.
Programmes are also on sale, priced £1.
