Essential information for Tuesday's cycle race

Timetable of events

6pm onwards: The roads around Brighouse town centre close to traffic.

7pm: The first race gets under way – the race for seniors, women and junior club riders.

7.50pm: The juveniles' race.

8.20pm: The elite race featuring the country's top riders.

9.30pm approx: Presentation ceremony for winners near the finish line.

10pm onwards: Roads will reopen.

Road closures

ROADS around the town centre will start closing to traffic from 4.45pm on June 10. These include: King Street, Lawson Road, Bethel Street, Thornton Square, Briggate, Commercial Street, Canal Street, Park Street, West Park Street, Market Street and Hutchinson Lane.

Huddersfield Road from the junction of Mill Royd Street to the junction of Bethel Street in a northerly direction will be closed from 6.30pm to ease traffic congestion on Huddersfield Road. There will be a HGV diversion in place via Bradley and Cooper Bridge.

Bradford Road from its junction with Huddersfield Road to the junction of Ganny Road will be closed from 3pm to allow the organisers to put up the sound stage and finishing area.

From 3pm all parking areas will be coned off to motorists. Bethel Street car park will not be affected nor will parking behind the bus station. Traffic management staff will be on site from 3pm to assist motorists and the public.
