Drinks tokens are up for grabs

l Tonight (Thursday) at The Calder is the weekly quiz with eight drinks tokens up for grabs, as well as a bottle of wine and £500.

Friday they have a dance and RnB DJ playing from 9pm until 1am. Then Saturday local rock band Storm will be on stage from 9pm with DJ JD playing afterwards until 1am.

Food is served everyday from 10am til 9pm.

l At The Beck, Bradford Road, this Sunday it is The Midsummer Sunday Sessions’ part of their celebrations for a year at the pub and landlord Adrian Whitworth will have live music on the from 4pm with an array of quality artists.

Performing will be blues band Diamond Dac, local singer Lianne Brown, Brighouse band Weave and acoustic duo The Last Minute, plus DB3 who are also an acoustic act.

l JD Wetherspoon’s pub The Richard Oastler has just started a cider festival that will run up until the 27th of this month!

It will feature 25 ciders and not just apple based. They also have pear, rhubarb, ginger and chilli, whiskey infused and beetroot ciders!
