The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice has launched its ‘One Good Thing’ campaign, encouraging Brighouse people to support the charity in 2013 through a number of different ways.

The hospice supports children with life limiting conditions, and their families, across Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield.

The campaign is about encouraging people to do their ‘One Good Thing’ to help raise funds in 2013.

Chief executive Peter Branson said it was important to support the campaign. “As a children’s hospice offering care to such a wide area, it is imperative that everyone knows that we are here for them.

“We believe that the ‘One Good Thing’ campaign isn’t just a great fundraising idea, but also a great way to communicate our message to a large audience.”

All 11 Forget Me Not stores across West Yorkshire, including the one in Commercial Street, Brighouse, have taken on board the ‘One Good Thing’ campaign.

The stores are encouraging people to donate their unwanted Christmas presents or the dress they never wear which will in turn improve the quality of product in the stores increasing both footfall and sales.

The artwork for the campaign was designed by Rushfirth Creative, free of charge. Howard Rushfirth said: “We have previously created the graphics for a number of different campaigns, and now we are proud to have sponsored and created the identity for ‘One Good Thing.’

“The work that the Hospice does is amazing. We look forward to continuing our support for this great cause and encourage all businesses in this part of the world to consider doing the same.”

Head of marketing Clare-Marie Taylor said: “One Good Thing is very much a social media campaign in that we are encouraging people to share and talk about their ‘One Good Thing’ through Facebook and Twitter #OneGoodThing and by emailing onegoodthing@forgetmenotchild.co.uk The simplicity of the campaign and the strength of its identity will go a long way towards ensuring its success.”
