PUPILS at Rastrick Preparatory School celebrated the harvest with hymns, songs, readings and poetry.

The Rev Matthew Pollard officiated at the harvest service held at St Matthew’s Church, Rastrick, and the event was well-supported by school governors, parents, relatives and friends.

The children’s gifts of fruit, vegetables, flowers and tins were distributed to members of the local community.

Mr Pollard said the service was a welcome opportunity to welcome members of the school into the church.
