Businesses support late night opening

MORE than 20 businesses will be staying open for the first late shopping night in Brighouse.

The late night shopping scheme will run throughout the year on the first Thursday of every month, starting next week, Thursday, November 1, to give an alternative to the supermarket shop.

And as an added extra some of the stallholders from the Food and Craft Market have been invited into the shops.

The shops opening are Mr Pizza, Brighouse Dry Cleaners, Direct Carpets, Wheelers Gunsmiths, Blakeley’s Fish and Chips, Additions (preview and welcome drinks), Ryecorn Wholefoods, La Gourmet, Blakeleys Coffee Shop, Living Bed Shop, Oddjobs, Crystal Wishes, Brighouse Mobiles, Wildings Chocolates, Bliss, The Pot Shop, Pizza Napolina, Renny Taylor, Just Books, Fawcetts, M & Co, Store 21, Fultons, Simply Flowers, Mark Riley Hairdressers, Neimantas Jewellers, Dominos Pizzas, The Flower Garden, William Hill, Harrison Lord Art Gallery, Brief Encounter Lingeries, Edward and Co Hairdressers and Park Row Hairdressers.

The restaurants are also hoping to attract more shoppers into the town and will be offering a special Thursday evening deal. These include Bellinins Italian Restaurant, Bengal Brasserie, Brooks Restaurant, Meze, and Prego Italian Restaurant.

One of the organisers Lesley Adams said: “We hope that people will take the time to come into own, have a wonder round and get to know their local shops and all that they have to offer.”
