Its website says that it was set up to keep women safe on nights out, but it then grew to providing services for schools and day centres.

It began working with Metro in 2011, operating a fleet of 16 and 28-seater buses. It only used female bus drivers.

A statement by Metro said that West Yorkshire Combined Authority was told the company had gone into liquidation on October 3 and would no longer be operating any bus services.

Alternative arrangements for some tendered services have been provided. They include:

31/32 – Yorkshire Tiger

88 – Square Peg

197 – Watersons

226 – TJ Walsh

635 – TLC

781 – Yorkshire Tiger

933- Yorkshire Tiger

The Bradford City bus was a commercially run service so the combined authority will not support a replacement.

However, it will share passenger data with bus operators to see if the service can continue.
