A charity beer festival, which was so well-supported last year that it ran out of ale before the end, is set to return on Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12.
The second beer festival at Bailiff Bridge Community Centre, Victoria Road, will showcase 18 real ales from all over the UK as well as a variety of ciders and perry.
Last year, thanks to match-funding from Barclays Bank, £1,800 went to two charities.
This year the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice and Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service will benefit from the proceeds.
Brighouse pub The Old Ship Inn will be bringing the two day ‘Festivale on Tour’ back to the community centre. It is expected that hundreds of of beer connoisseurs will converge on Bailiff Bridge to enjoy the event.
Julia Baldwin, manager of the community centre, said: “Last year’s event was a tremendous success and there was great support from local businesses. We were so pleased that we raised so much for charity and we hope this year’s festival will be another success. We will have more food available this year including a hog roast and plenty of soft drinks.”
The festival will be held on Friday, October 11 from 5pm to 11pm and Saturday, October 12 from noon to 11pm.
