Sporty youngsters from Highbury School, Rastrick, have competed for county honours at the Jet2 Holidays West Yorkshire School Games 2014.
Around 350 athletes took part in the event at Northbridge Leisure Centre, and took part in different sport challenges.
A total of 2,000 pupils across the county will compete in ten sports over five events at the culmination of the school competition calendar.
This year the games are once again sponsored by Leeds based tour operator, Jet2holidays.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “Following the success of last year’s partnership, we are thrilled to be sponsoring both the winter and summer 2014 West Yorkshire School Games.
“We would like to wish all the children taking part the very best of luck and we look forward to a year of highly enjoyable sporting events; bringing families together to get active and have lots of fun.”
The main event of the winter festival on March 14 will take place at Leeds Metropolitan University where 1,200 athletes and 100 volunteers from over 100 schools across West Yorkshire will be involved.
