A 14-year-old from Rastrick has admitted to raping a girl under the age of 13.
Appearing at Calderdale Youth Court, the teenager admitted the charge.
The incident happened at a park in Rastrick on July 6, 2013.
He appeared alongside two other 14-year-olds and two 13-year-olds from the Rastrick area who all pleaded not guilty to their charges. One 13-year-old and one 14-year-old were charged with the alleged rape of a girl under the age of 13 at the 14-year-old’s home address on July 5, 2013, and for the incident at the park.
The other 13-year-old has been charged with rape and sexual assault in an alleged incident on July 5 while the other 14-year-old admitted to one alleged rape charge on July 6.
All the charges relating to the two incidents involved the same victim in the Calderdale area.
When deciding where the case should be heard, prosecutor Lisa Beadle said the matter should be dealt with at Bradford Crown Court as the alleged incidents are a grave crime involving a vulnerable complainant.
A judge appearing via video link gave conditional bail to all five of the teenagers, who cannot be named for legal reasons. They are set to attend crown court on September 3 for their first hearing.
