A new group has been set up in Brighouse to support people with bipolar disorder.
Previously known as clinical depression, bipolar affects one person in a hundred and is characterised by periods of elevated mood and periods of depression.
Bipolar affects one person in a hundred and famous sufferers include Stephen Fry.
The group, under the guidance of the Southwest Partnership of the NHS and with funding from a national lottery grant, hopes to support those with the condition.
The first meeting of the group will be on Monday, November 3 at 10.30am at the Oddfellows Hall, Industrial Street on Bradford Road.
The meeting is open to family members, carers or anyone else who might be interested.
