Keeping fit is a family affair for Taz Bains and her strapping sons.
Taikwondo medal-winners Cameron, aged 20, and Aaron, aged 21, were not short of strength and power but in order to boost their stamina they’ve been joining their mum in Boxercise sessions at PS4Fitness in Brighouse.
Cameron and Aaron recently represented England at the Taikwondo Championships held in Motherwell, Scotland. Cameron, a student at Salford University, won a gold and silver medal and Aaron, who studies at Bradford University, came away with silver.
Taz, of Daisy Rod, Brighouse, said: “I’m immensely proud of my boys and what they’ve achieved. Aaron has lost just under two stones and has seen a big improvement in fitness. Cameron’s fitness has also improved with the training.”
Taz herself has lost almost three stones and says she feels much fitter and healthier.
“I go three or four times a week and I just love it - it’s much better than the gym.”
Seeing their mum’s success spurred Cameron and Aaron on to have a go at Boxercise - and now their dad Mohan has been persuaded to sign up for classes too.
Paul Sterling of PS4Fitness at Huddersfield Road said: “The Bains family should be very proud of what they’ve achieved. They’ve demonstrated how PS4Fitness can help people focus on their goals with effective nutrition and exercise.”
