Matt Parkinson has been in touch to inform that another of his public houses in the area, The Drop Kick, at Low Moor, has psychic medium Dean James Fox on at the pub.

Dean is from Brighouse and last week was on the Channel 4 television show My Psychic Life.

The event will take place on Tuesday, November 17 at 7pm with tickets at £12 per person.

This Friday night at Jeremy’s, they will welcome Joe Gallagher’s Big Noise playing the best of rock and pop covers.

Followed on Saturday evening by Afterglow who play a great mix of hits from the 60s to the present day.

On Sunday from 4pm, Eden will be playing acoustic for you to wind down after a maybe busy Saturday.

Also this week the popular food and drink venue is launching a new look website.

You will be able to check out the bands appearing as well as the Christmas menus. The site will also have the facility for you to purchase tickets online, so you can buy your New Year’s Eve tickets using this facility.

The Crow Nest Park Golf Club will be hosting a Ladies Christmas shopping night again on Wednesday, December 2.

This will be the fourth year of this popular event which has raised in excess of £6,000.

The evening will start from 7pm.

There will be at least 20 local businesses selling products that will be ideal for Christmas presents or for people to treat themselves.

Tickets are £5 and include welcome drink and nibbles.

They are available from Le Munch Bunch in Halifax or from the golf club.

All money raised will go to Dexter’s Light in memory of Dexter Cook who passed away aged one in May last year.

Tonight (Thursday) at The Barge they have Simon Walker performing followed on Friday night by Triple Threat.

On Saturday Empress will be on stage and the live music will wrap up on Sunday night with the Leeds City Stompers.

This Friday night at The Millers Bar they have a Blues-based, Jazz fuelled band from South Yorkshire. All professional session musicians, the band come together to perform the music that they love led by guitarist and singer Tim Green.

For the third year running, Lightcliffe Cricket Club will be holding their annual Christmas get together at the Coley Village Hall with Roger Davies headlining.

It’s a popular date on the social calendar at the club with all ages welcome.

Roger will also have guests joining him in performing and for your £10 ticket there will also be a pie and pea supper available.

If you are quick you might be able to buy the last few tickets for the Robbie Williams tribute act they have on at the Rastrick Bowling and Social Club this Friday night.

Back by popular demand is Tony Lewis as Robbie Williams. The popular tribute act has appeared at the club for several years running and always plays to a packed house.
