Blakeborough Sport and Social club will reopen its doors with a new venture being led by eight shareholders.
The club on Bradford Road was closed and put into liquidation in April with Begbies Traynor appointed as joint liquidators following its failure to pay a £55,000 debt to HM Revenue & Customs.
However, the administratos have now allowed the new group to open the club.
To celebrate Yorkshire Day on Saturday, the club will open its doors at 12pm until late on and are welcoming all old members and anyone wanting to have a fun day out.
A variety of entertainment is being planned throught the day and evening.
The new group hope the sale of the Albion Bowling Club, an asset of the sports and social club, which is on the open market with Walker Singleton, will bring in enough money to pay of its debts and allow them to keep Blakes open.
The Blakes club will also be open from the afternoon during the week apart from Tuesdays.
