l Tonight (Thursday) at the Barge the weekly jam session is with Mick Brown from the Psychoslinkys.

On Friday evening Hungry Hearts will take to the stage, followed on Saturday night by Blue Mangeroos.

On Sunday evening from 6.30pm, Area 40 will be performing.

l Paul Haydock at The Armytage Arms has got plenty of deals for the summer ahead.

It is packed full of perfect pints and wonderful wines, ideal for any occasion.

The new menu has officially launched at the pub. There are Ultimate Plates, including the Rack Stack, Ultimate Surf and Turf and Mighty Mexican Fajitas.

l Marsha Jones at The Old Ship Inn on Bethel Street has live music on May 17 from 9pm, The Revelator Band will be performing.

The kitchen hours have changed at the pub also with food now being served 1-4pm Tuesday to Thursday and 1-6pm Friday to Sunday.

The pub is also hosting a blind sweepstake for the World Cup priced at £10 a ticket. There are only 26 tickets left and they will be opened and revealed at the pub’s World Cup party on final day and will include a free buffet.

As well as serving real ales, Marsha is also now stocking Oakham cider which boosts her offerings to eight different ciders.

Coming up as the weather becomes better, they will be starting to host barbecues at the pub!

l This Sunday at The Beck on Bradford Road, Adrian will welcome Paul Pearson to headline his Sunday session who will be supported by Chris McMahon and Ceri Ashton. The music starts from 4.30pm.

l The Hare and Hounds at Hipperholme has gone up for lease!

Formally at the helm was Umberto Cerado who seemed to have the pub steady away, will hope to bring you more next week.

l After keeping lights on at the pub since its closure, The Robin Hood pub has now become a bit of an eyesore after having metal grills placed at the windows and doors.

Fingers crossed the pub will be opened soon.
