Groups can help improve and boost the Rastrick community thanks to a funding scheme by the Rastrick Big Local Partnership.

Applications are now available for groups and organisations to be granted a share of the Rastrick Big Local Community Small Grant Fund.

The grant fund will be used to support ideas and projects aimed at improving the Rastrick area.

The partnership said it is looking to support innovative and creative projects which will make a real difference to the community.

The Community Small Grant Fund is made up of contributions from Rastrick Big Local and the Community Foundation for Calderdale.

The funding scheme is open to groups and organisations whose applications will directly benefit people living in Rastrick.

Successful applicants will need to clearly demonstrate how they will meet at least one of the priorities. They can apply for funds from £100 to £1,500.

Anyone wanting to discuss an idea or find out more can contact the Rastrick Big Local Partnership.

Applications can be obtained and sent to Mags Bryson, neighbourhood coordinator, via email to mags.bryson@calderdale.gov.uk or call 01422 288017.
