Frosty start but sunny spells to come in Calderdale

After a frosty start in places and the odd light wintry shower over the Pennines, the day will be dry with some sunny spells although more cloudier at times in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 8C.

Tonight will be breezy at times, with thickening cloud bringing occasional rain across the region after midnight, but with rain becoming light and patchy by Saturday morning. Minimum temperature 3C.

There is slow traffic on the A644 Wakefield Road in Mirfield from Cooper Bridge Roundabout to the M62 Junction 25 Roundabout junction in Brighouse.
