You may have seen the posters around the centre of Brighouse advertising a FIFA World Cup Preview Dinner with Lee Sharpe, and this week’s Good Times brings you more info on the night!
Former Manchester United and Leeds United Football ace Lee Sharpe will be the guest of honour at a charity World Cup preview evening at the Holiday Inn, Brighouse in June.
Lee is set to provide guests with entertaining accounts of his playing career under legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson, England’s chances in Brazil and his infamous party lifestyle.
The former England, Manchester United and Leeds United star was famous for his playboy lifestyle as much his mercurial football talent.
Nicknamed “Spice Boy” for his pin-up good looks – Sharpe won the Premier League championship three times while at Manchester United and also picked up two FA Cups, a League Cup, three Community Shields and a UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup medal during an illustrious career in which he also played for Sampdoria, Bradford City and Portsmouth.
The evening will be held on June 5 and will raise money for Clifton Rangers Junior Football Club and Sportz Power.
The event will feature top comedian, Halifax-based Pete Emmett, famous for his work with sport celebrities, and includes a three course meal, world cup quiz and charity silent auction and raffle.
