New landlord at The Beck, Bradford Road, Adrian Whitworth

l Adrian Whitworth at The Beck, Bradford Road, is busy planning his first real ale and cider festival next month. It will take place from March 14 to 17, St Patrick’s Day and will have an Irish theme. On Sunday evening from 4pm there will be live music with Dac, Delaney and Taylor playing an acoustic set with country roots.

l Tonight at the Barge, Brighouse, the jam session will be provided by Dean from the band The Trees and on Friday it will be the turn of Voodoo Soup. Saturday’s music will come from Roxyrama, a Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music tribute band, with an acoustic session from Ian crabtree and Dave Kennedy to bring the weekend to a close on Sunday from 6.30pm.

l The Old White Beare in Norwood Green is holding a beer festival from March 15 and is now taking bookings for Mother’s Day on 01274 676645.

l Congratulations to Andrew Ball who successfully completed his sponsored skydive in aid of Bipolar UK. He is also busy helping to organise a charity evening at Brighouse Sports Club on March 15. For tickets contact 07815 117965.
