Good Times: Entertainment all the way

The Calder (right) this weekend welcomes on Saturday local rock band, Storm. They will be on stage from 9pm and it is free entry. The pub also has drink offers all weekend on all things Irish to celebrate St Patricks Day.

COMMITTEE member Janet Holroyd at the Rastrick Bowling & Social Club reports that they have just had a fabulous tribute week at the club with Abba last Saturday followed by Rod Stewart. Rod Stewart was accompanied by an amazing comedy act, Billy Hunter, and he was the funniest act seen for many years at the club. Tickets are now selling fast for A Night at the Musicals on Friday, April 11 with John Gillan, who is straight from the West End, and it is a show not to be missed.

Seats can be reserved either at the bar or by calling 01484 712048 and they are £5 per person.

Tonight (Thursday) at The Barge, the jam session is with Mick Brown from the Psychoslinkies. On Friday Giants Causeway will take to the stage and on Saturday night Quadraphonic will entertain, and Sunday evenings live music comes from The Ziggi Battles Band from 6.30pm.
