l Beer enthusiasts will be able to enjoy a range of 50 real ales from the UK and overseas during a festival at the Richard Oastler in Bethel Street which runs until Sunday, April 21, with all beers priced at £2.15 a pint. On offer will be new, seasonal and speciality beers, including a passion fruit beer, coffee and chocolate bean beer, wheat beer, blackberry porter, cask lager and a coffee porter.
Manager Amanda McKenzie, said: “The festival will give people the opportunity to enjoy a superb selection of UK and international beers, many of which have not been served in the pub before.”
l Milry’s wine bar and bistro in Brighouse town centre celebrated its second anniversary at Easter with a party, free hot buffet and entertainment from Sully’s Heroes. On Friday there is a jazz evening with music from Jon Taylor and his band a three-course meal at £24 per head.
l Jiving Jeff’s popular rock and roll session is at the Commercial and Railway Inn, Gooder Lane, on Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.
