ACTION is being taken to tackle issues raised by residents at the Whinney Hill Park estate, Brighouse.
Area manager for the Safer Cleaner Greener team in the Lower Valley, Phillip Schofield, attended a meeting of the Whinney Hill Residents’ Association to discuss how best to improve some of the green spaces surrounding the estate.
Residents commented onmany problems including overflowing dog bins, overhanging trees, overgrown vegetation and fly-tipping.
Chairman of the residents’ association, Les Riach, said: “It was a good meeting and residents were pleased to have the opportunity to discuss the issues with Phillip and to thank him for the good work that the council does in this area.”
Councillor Scott Benton (Con, Brighouse) said: “The condition of Brighouse Cemetery is often mentioned when I speak to local residents and so I was delighted to have the opportunity to speak to Phillip about how we can best tackle some of the issues.”
