Pupils went wacky over sport as part of a health week at St John’s Primary Academy.

Pupils were introduced to some of the more unusual sports - they did freesbie golf, wheel chair racing, long jump and problem solving.

Head teacher Helen Lever said: “All the children took part and during the week we had testimonals from parents who had taken part in marathons, how they trained and how they motivated themselves. Other people came in to demonstrate Taekwondo.

“There were lots of different sports to have-a-go at rather than just the recognised sporting activities that they can do at home.”
