Students from Brighouse High School’s Sixth form signed off in style with their end of year prom.
As they prepare for their futures in employment, university or apprenticeships, 163 students and 45 members of staff sat down for a three course meal at The Venue in Barkisland.
The event was organised by the social and events captain at the sixth form, Georgia Rae, with the help of other school captains Young Gawthorpe, Maddie Horner and Abi Hewitt, who helpedchoose the venue, colour scheme and menu.
A slide show was on display showing pictures of the students from days as school starters in Year Seven. Awards were also given to both leavers and to members of staff to say thank you for their work throughout the years.
Gill Lister, administrator and pastoral manager, said: “It was a fabulous night.
“The slideshow was a really nice touch and everybody was able to have a laugh over that.
“Everyone had a really good time and there was a relaxed atmosphere which everyone enjoyed.”
