PUPILS at Carr Green Primary School, Rastrick, have had the opportunity participate in Paralympic sports.

Staff from the Brighouse branch of Sainsbury’s presented the school with their Paralympic sports kits to enable them to take part in Sainsbury’s One Million Kids Challenge, which is designed to encourage young people of all abilities to experience Paralympic sport in the run-up to next year’s London 2012 Paralympic Games.

The equipment will enable children to take part in three Paralympic sports – goalball, sitting volleyball and visually-impaired football.

Schools across the country are being encouraged to sign up to the challenge between April and July.

The sign-up process was a huge success with nine schools in Brighouse and Rastrick eager to sign up for the challenge.
