n DONATION: A RASTRICK school is speeding ahead thanks to a £1,000 donation.

William Henry Smith School will convert an unused car park in a go-kart track thanks to wheelsforgood, Easi-Drive’s community giving fund.

Craig George, grants and funding manager at the school, said: “We currently have a temporary go kart track, but every time the grass needs cutting we have to move around 300 old tyres, so a permanent one will make a huge difference.

“As well as the fun aspect of go karting, it also encourages our boys to get more involved in the mechanics of a car and learn skills that they can then progress and take with them in to the wider world. We’re incredibly grateful to Easi-Drive for this donation, which will go a long way towards making the permanent track a reality.”
