Pupils’ art has a global flavour

Artistic students showed off their talents at the annual art event at Bailiffe Bridge Primary School.

Using the theme ‘Around the World’ for inspiration, the pupils from reception to Year Six picked a country to influence their art.

Reception did South America and the rain forest, year one concentrated on India, year two on Europe, year three did artwork based on China and year found looked at Africa.

Year five students looked at Australia and year six pupils did Australia.

The week was co-ordinated by teacher Louise Lumb and parents and friends of the school were invited to view the art produced throughout the week-long event.

“The pupils are buzzing. We have had a wonderful week yet tiring. They have had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed it,” said Mrs Lumb.
