Man, 25, in court accused of Brighouse stabbing

A man has appeared in court accused of stabbing a man in Brighouse on Saturday morning, December 6.

James Marriott, 25, is accused of stabbing a 35-year-old man on Bradford Road.

Marriott, of Bradford Road, Brighouse, appeared before Calderdale Magistrates on Monday charged with one count of wounding. The case was sent to Bradford Crown Court.

He will appear there on Monday, December 22.

He has been remanded in custody until then.

Police were called to Bradford Road in the early hours of Saturday morning to reports that a man had been stabbed.

The injured man, a 35-year-old from Calderdale, was located at another address nearby and was taken to hospital with his injuries, which were described as “non life -threatening”.
