A community group providing help for people who require support is expanding into different parts of the area.
St Anne’s Community Service, based at Parsonage Lane, Brighouse, held an activity group at Bailiff Bridge Community Centre.
The group is for clients with learning disabilities and during the session they took part in music and dance, arts and crafts, and games.
Tara Johnson, support worker at St Anne’s, said: The aim of the group is to promote social inclusion, health and emotional well-being, diversity and life skills and independence.”
St Anne’s has been providing services for people with learning difficulties since 1985 including a range of services to enable people to live fulfilling lives as independently as possible.
Services include a variety of housing and accommodation-based support and care, day services and community based support.
Most of our work is undertaken in partnership with local authority Adult Social Care departments, Primary Care Trusts, Supporting People Teams and Community Safety Partnerships.
St Anne’s also has residential and nursing care services available in Halifax and Todmorden.
Residential short break respite care is available in Halifax.
