Our Brighouse Has Talent champion enjoyed a LEGO themed party with friends as part of her prize for winning the competition.

Ophelia Ormerod won the inaugural competition, organised by the Brighouse Echo - after wowing the judges and audience with her performance of the smash hit song ‘Let it Go’ from Disney film Frozen.

In addition to the Brighouse Has Talent trophy and a cash prize, the 12-year-old won a LEGO party which was kindly donated by Bailiff Bridge based Bricks4Kidz, one of the competition sponsors.

The Frozen themed event saw Ophelia and her friends build models using LEGO bricks, as well as enjoying some refreshments.

Debbie Adamthwaite, co-owner of Bricks4Kidz, said: “The quality of the entrants at the competition was awesome and the judges had a very difficult job but Ophelia has an amazing voice and certainly deserved the title.”

The Brighouse Echo event Brighouse Has Talent will return later this year. In an exciting new partnership with Brighouse Arts Festival, the live grand final will be held on Friday, September 25, as one of the highlights of the 2015 festival programme.
