TRIP: ONLY weeks into the new school year and pupils at Hipperholme Grammar Junior School have enjoyed a day at an outdoor adventure centre in Thirsk.

The children were introduced to a range of problem solving activities which would teach them the value of team work. They learned about the techniques of archery and were able to support one another in their challenge to cross the low ropes. The afternoon had a very wet end, as they built their own raft and crossed the lake via a series of ropes.

Adam Odling-Smee from Lightcliffe, said: “We had a really fun and wet day too.”
