The organisation, which was born in Calderdale, consists of a group of volunteers creating or partnering with other charity events to raise awareness and funds for charities.

In 2007, the Charity Dreamgirls were founded by Chairwoman Kate Hardcastle who organised the first of the group’s many events.

Since then the organisation has gone from strength to strength, supporting many charities both local and national including Homestart and Next Step Trust in Calderdale and the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice and the Alzheimer’s Society.

Throughout the years they have organised and attended a number of charity events including Flood Aid Concerts for Calderdale where they were one of the headline acts.

Helen Beachell, from charity Simon On The Streets, said: “The Charity Dreamgirls chose to support us in 2014.

“Not only has the event raised valuable funds, but Kate Hardcastle’s hard work and media connections have meant we have been featured in the press several times, and benefitted by an increased number of twitter followers due to the Charity Dreamgirls promotional campaign.”
