Stacey has a tail to tell after a year caring for pets

A Brighouse business woman is celebrating a year in looking after pets after being inspired by a friend.

Stacey Hawkes was wondering how to fill her time from her permanent job as manager of St John’s Out of School Club in Rishworth.

A friend of hers at Rishworth, Louise Willacy, mentioned her own pet care business Pettails and from that suggestion Stacey formed her own sub-franchise Pettails Brighouse in 2013.

Formerly of Clifton and now living in Hartshead, Stacey, 29, said: “It made sense to open a franchise of Pettails as the business model had already been established and had proved successful. This allowed me to concentrate on building up a customer base locally in Brighouse and the surrounding areas. I offer bespoke pet care either from the customer’s own home or from mine, if suitable. So far this has mostly involved dog or cat care and an occasional goldfish.”

With regular customers in Hartshead, Clifton, Lightcliffe, Rastrick, Hove Edge and even as far as Halifax she offers a personal service based around her customers’ needs.

Pettails Brighouse offers walks, visits, daycare, pickup and drop off and occasional overnight care for customers in Brighouse and surrounding areas. Further details can be obtained by calling 07736474982, via the website www.pettails.co.uk or through the Pettails Brighouse pages on Facebook and Twitter.
