BRIGHOUSE precision engineering company Halifax Rack & Screw is hoping to create up to 12 new jobs after receiving a grant of £200,000 from the Government’s flagship Regional Growth Fund.
The company at Armytage Road currently employs 28 people.
The grant is included in the second round of funding from the Regional Growth Fund and is part of a package put together by Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership which has unlocked funding of £13.2 million.
Mr Colin Jones, financial director of Halifax Rack & Screw, said the grant would be used to continue the modernisation and expansion of existing production facilities as part of its current £1.5 million investment strategy.
He said existing jobs would be safeguarded while creating new jobs for the future.
Mr Jones said Halifax Rack and Screw had a worldwide reputation for its products and supplied the engineering, construction, offshore and energy markets at home and abroad.
